The piece "No Prisoners" and the Goggle Series are works about the human spirit and were inspired by a photo of my daughter.
I laughed when I saw her pose, her look of confidence beneath the protective armor of her 'rose' goggles, and her stance, comfortable in the knowledge that she will be queen of the backyard.
The poet Maya Angelou said "I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass."
"No Prisoners" is about summer days spent painting nails and practicing kick ass, protected by rose goggles and the joy of limitless possibility.
